Review:

I had the distinct impression that the author did not know what he was doing in this book. There was a lack of crispness the prior books had and it felt very much like a 5th in a series.

I like to be able to pick up a book and if I like it, go back to earlier books by the author. Had this been the first Patterson book I picked up in an airport, I would not read the rest of the books in the series.
