Contrary to one reviewer who listens to disks in traffic, I found it interesting. The part that was not effective in the novel was the relationship between the female lead and her boyfriend.
It was almost as if the book about what happened in the computer decoding labs was written and an editor said that the female lead had to have a boyfrriend so that there was no connotation of an affair between her and her boss/mentor.
I do not know anything about decoding, computer cooling, linked computers and hackers, so the story was interesting.
I would rank them: DaVici, Fortress, and Angeles, principally that Fortress had less DaVinci references.
